OverviewThis is the second volume of the three-volume ""Colour Atlas of Microneurosurgery"" series, covering the whole range of cerebrovascular lesions. Fully revised and expanded, the microsurgical atlases cover all hte approaches to these pathological entities in detail. Complex neurosurgical cases are presented with intraoperative illustrations to maximize the reader's understanding of the topographic relationships that are encountered when gaining access to cerebrovascular lesions. Innovative techniques are covered: hypothermic cardiac arrest, sterotactic-guided imaging and endovascular approaches. The first chapter on anatomy begins at the skull base, and follows the internal carotid artery to its bifurcation. The anterior artery, middle-cerebral artery and circle of Willis are explored before moving down the basilar artery to the vertebral arteries. The second chapter covers surgical approaches: for the anterior fossa; middle cranial fossa and combined middle- and posterior-cranial fossa; the posterior fossa and craniocervical junction; and the vein of Galen and pineal region. The last four chapters are devoted to types of pathology as demonstrated by the clinical material. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Wolfgang T. Koos , Robert F.
