Overview

After the Second World War, many regional conflicts emerged in the Asia-Pacific, such as the divided Korean peninsula, the Cross-Taiwan Strait, the 'Northern Territories', (Southern Kuriles) Takeshima (Tokdo), Senkaku (Diaoyu) and the Spratly (Nansha) islands problems.
