Reviews

I wasn't sure what to expect but this book is really good. It is easy to follow and the activities are engaging. It's a great way to learn how to build a program. - Good2cu Our world depends on the computers but typically our kids only use it for games, videos and homework. this book takes them beyond that to use the computer in a whole new way. This is a how-to book for kids on programming or coding the computer to create projects like games. It allows the child to use their imagination to do more than just play games on the computer. The narrative is first directed at both kids and their parents. But once the Scratch program is installed it switches to kid focus. The wording is kid friendly. This book describes block-oriented programming. It uses step by steps instructions for your child's first projects. Tips and safety precautions are included throughout the book. The narrative is positive, helping to encourage the child's confidence.. As the book progresses, the difficulty increases as new concepts are added. The project naturally become more complex and more rewarding for the kid thus building even more self confidence. The author concludes the book by stating there are many videos on line to give additional ideas and inspirations. This book is a great starting point into the world of coding, a great skill that will serve your child well in this world of ever increasing dependency on technology. - Suzanne Hare Coding for Kids is useful book to guide your child how to build their own programs .
