The papers review the state of the art in our understanding of the hydrodynamics of the nearshore zone, covering such areas as shallow water wave statistics, nearshore currents, wave motions, and wave-structure interactions. The authors, from many countries, are among the leaders in the field of coastal engineering and nearshore oceanography.
