Way down in Penguin Land lived two best friends, Clutch and Haiven.While Haiven was serious and studious, Clutch was imaginative and playful. As Clutch always imagined himself as a mighty warrior penguin, he did not always pay attention to his teacher in the classroom. One day, this got him in very serious trouble when he was out playing. Jay Winograd is a retired music and drama teacher. He has taught band, orchestra, choir, and drama in nine different countries around the world, most recently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has had a lifelong love of penguins, and this has inspired him to write about the adventures of two young penguins, Clutch and Haiven. When Jay is not busy writing about penguins, he enjoys playing his trumpet and playing chess.
