He has some 40 years of experience in technology law in academia and legal practice, and is a Fellow (and past Chair) of the Society for Computers and Law. He has led the Cloud Legal Project since it was established in 2009 and has been Joint Director of the Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre since it was launched in 2014.
