Clobetasol is a topical corticosteroid which is used to treat skin itching and swells that occurs on the skin as a result of some skin diseases and infections. It also exists for use as foam, ointment, cream, lotion, solution, spray and gel, which is classified as regular and emollient forms. It is available as a generic and brand name known as Impoyz. It is also used to treat inflammation and itching which occurs from certain skin diseases and infections like ezcema, rashes and a particular disease known as plaque psoriasis. Plaque Psoriasis is a non- contagious disease which is characterized by silvery or gray flaky patches on the skin which are gets red and inflamed when it is scratched, and Clobetasol is very effective in treating and controlling it. This prescription drug is preferably given by a medical personnel, to be taken depending on the severity of the itchiness or the swelling on the skin of the person. Usually, it is prescribed to be used for two weeks on the affected area or until the disease heals completely, but it is not to be used constantly for more than the stipulated time to avoid cases of chronic side effects.
