Climate Processes and Climate Sensitivity V29

Overview

Published by the American Geophysical Union as part of the Geophysical Monograph Series, Volume 29. The objective of this book is to contribute to the understanding of the sensitivity of the climate system by bringing together the work of modelers and others involved in the analysis of observational data. The approach considers climate variations and climate processes (focusing on climate feedback processes) on a broad range of time scales. We have organized the book into conventional areas such as the atmosphere, ocean and cryosphere, but these are bound together by the feedback process; thus the paper in different sections overlap extensively. If the book contributes a small amount toward a better understanding of the role which feedbacks play in coupling different parts of the climate system and in determining climate sensitivity, it will have served its purpose well.
