Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr. Yoshihisa Sugimura is Research Coordinator for Advanced Port Technology, Port, Coastal and Marine Department, National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. He completed the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, and joined the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in 1999. He has more than 20 years of experience in policy making, legislation, and port projects, including a secondment to the Ministry of the Environment. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, and has been in his current position since 2023. He was a professor at Kyushu University from 2020 for three years. He specializes in researching port, logistics, and environmental policies, and has published many papers in international journals.
