Classics Illustrated Deluxe #6: The Three Musketeers

Overview

Not a reprint, this is an all-new graphic novel interpretation of the Alexandre Dumas novel, faithfully adapted by David Morvan and Michel Duffranne and expressively illustrated by Rubén. This 192-page graphic novel captures far more of the original novel, keeping subtleties and scenes often omitted from other adaptations. A whole new generation is eager to cry ""All for one and one for all!""

Author Information

As a child, Rubén loved two things: drawing and fighting with wooden swords. Fortunately, he chose to work on paper. He took his first drawing lessons in the small village where he lived with his parents before joining the School of Design at Joso Barcelona. During this period he illustrated short stories for various Spanish magazines, one of which was noticed by Jean David Morvan. Morvan contacted Rubén which led to their collaboration on ""Jolly Ringworm"" and ""The Three Musketeers."" Jean David Morvan's work was seen previously in CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED DELUXE #4 ""The Adventures of Tom Sawyer."" A writer and editor for Editions Delcourt, Morvan is known for his faithful adaptations of classic novels and attention to literary detail.
