Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationAs a high school student, Denise McGill fell in love with the idea of illustrating children's books after reading Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. However she got married, as many girls do, and started a family and so finishing school was put on the back burner. Only after the children all left home, did she get back to finishing her degree in Fine Arts and is now pursuing a Master's degree in Illustration from Academy of Art University, CA. McGill has been illustrating for children's magazines and written several books with her own illustrations. She lives in Fresno, California with her dear husband, who creates with video and theatrical productions. McGill paints watercolor or creates something artistic every day. She belongs to the Society of Western Artists, San Joaquin Valley Chapter, and serves as the treasurer. She has entered local and regional art shows every year for decades and has received many ribbons and awards for her work. If not painting, you can find her with her nose in a book; she loves to read children's books to see what is being written for them. McGill also teaches knitting and crochet, some classes meeting at a local Starbucks. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
