His key interest is in exploring the fundamental nature of light and particles. Chandra came to the USA as a Fulbright Scholar and received his PhD from the Institute of Optics, University of Rochester. He has worked for US industries for 14 years (TRW, Perkin-Elmer, United Technologies) and for academia for over two decades (India, Mexico, USA).
