Author Information

David Abbey, Guelph, Ontario, is a semi-retired psychologist who has had a life-long fascination with the arts and philosophies of Japan. His discovery of the treasure trove of woodblock prints available thru the US Library of Congress motivated him to create this collection of prints which focus on traditional Japanese warriors. Denise Abbey, David's daughter from Nanaimo, British Columbia., took on the tasks of downloading the images from their source files and converting them to a format which could be used in the current book. Although separated by half a continent the internet has made collaboration between father and daughter possible, productive and pleasurable.
