Jacqueline Rehmann, author of Classic American Costume Jewelry has done it again! In Volume 2, Ms. Rehmann features vintage costume jewelry made of wood and plastics. In a section entitled Bling she includes photographs of fashion jewelry made with rhinestones. The wood pieces can be considered novelty jewelry and the designs are often whimsical, novel, amusing, and even quirky. The history of plastics is described in the next section and includes a timeline of plastics. Many photographs of plastic novelty jewelry as well as fashion jewelry made with plastic embellishments are included. Historical information includes copies of patents and vintage advertisements that help identify and date jewelry. All photographs are accompanied by detailed descriptions that include estimated values.
