Mary Ryan Reeves always wanted to be a fashion designer. Her first job was as a model in Manhattan's Garment District. Mary graduated with a B.A. in Art Education from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, Claire McCardell's alma mater and hometown. She raised a family and taught art for 37 years. Now retired, Mary has more time to devote to her artistic interests and to contribute her award-winning talents to local community endeavors including The Claire McCardell Project.
