Author Information

Debra Scala Giokas loves clothes almost as much as words. A marketing communications professional, she earned a B.A. in English from Stony Brook University and is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She lives in the friendliest town on Long Island with her husband and their dog. This is her first book for children, and it's a dream come true. Visit debrascalagiokas.com. Mary Ryan Reeves always wanted to be a fashion designer. Her first job was as a model in Manhattan's Garment District. Mary graduated with a B.A. in Art Education from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, Claire McCardell's alma mater and hometown. She raised a family and taught art for 37 years. Now retired, Mary has more time to devote to her artistic interests and to contribute her award-winning talents to local community endeavors including The Claire McCardell Project.
