There is no more cogent, timely commentary to be found on urgent moral and political challenges facing us today, this week, than these columns and interviews by Blase Bonpane produced over the previous four years. To discover that in these pages is to feel shame and anger as an American that the shocking crimes and outrages of our government exposed here have been allowed by our society to persist or recur to this day. Fortunately, Bonpane's prophetic voice, along with his own example of courageous witness over four decades, can inspire readers to move beyond those emotions to action for a better world.<br> --Daniel Ellsberg
