OverviewCivilian War is the story of a family that has to flee their home as civil war breaks out in the United States. They organize with their neighbors to make a run for safety in Canada, but they won't all complete the journey. Those that survive the trip have to figure out how to put their lives back together in another country with very little information about what is happening with their loved ones back home. Civilian War follows Jim and Joy, the parents of twin daughters with disabilities - Alex is Deaf and Kelly is on the autism spectrum - as they try to make the right decisions to keep their family together through the violence and the aftermath. In the before times, the family spent their vacations traveling in a 30-foot, class C motorhome. They use their RV in their escape and RV travel figures prominently in the story.
