A wonderful collection of drawings and paintings by renowned artist Eric Coolen (winner of the Haarlem Achievement Award and the Holland Art and Culture Award De Olifant) which celebrate his love of Haarlem and Glasgow. In this - the first of Eric Coolen's Cityscape books, Eric compares major sites in both cities in this unique cross-cultural book. Historians, Wim Cerutti and Peter Hammann, have written appropriate pieces to compliment the the theme of the book. As well as this writer, Bies van Ede, has also contributed an interesting story with a Dutch - Scottish connection. The aim is to highlight the amazing architecture in both cities and to encourage more travel and interaction between Glasgow and Haarlem.
