Overview

The people of Derry/Londonderry have faced many challenges, they've overcome many obstacles and have survived some harrowing times, but in 2013 the city was crowned UK City of Culture, (take that, Belfast!) What did it mean for the residents there? What is it like to live in a city that has faced such adversity, and with dissident terrorists never that far away, have things progressed politically from the worst days of The Troubles? City of Culture attempts to answer these questions, whilst simultaneously using this book of 'wee sketches' to promote and publicise one of the greatest things about the people who reside in this historic, walled city, their sense of humour. (Note; should the dissident terrorists not have a sense of humour and decide to shoot the author of this book, donations can be made by purchasing a new copy of City of Culture.
