Professor Diana Mitlin, Global Urban Research Centre , University of Manchester, UK Author InformationSean Fox is Lecturer in Urban Geography and Global Development at the University of Bristol. His research has been published in journals such as Environment and Planning C: Government and Policy, Population and Development Review and World Development. He has also served as an advisor on urban development issues for a variety of international organisations, including DfID, CARE International and UN-Habitat. Tom Goodfellow is Lecturer in Urban Studies and International Development at the University of Sheffield. His work has been published in a range of journals including Urban Studies, Comparative Politics and Development and Change. He has acted as an advisor to Oxfam on urban development issues and provided policy analysis for the UK Parliamentary Select Committee on International Development, as well as several government authorities in sub-Saharan Africa.
