Author Information

Konstantinos G. Aravossis is a professor and UNESCO Chairholder on Green Innovation and Circular Economy at the National Technical University of Athens. He is a Vice President and Waste Management BoD Chairman Regulatory Authority for Waste, Energy and Water – RAAEY, and a former Secretary General for Forestry at the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy. Prior to that, he was also Secretary General of Natural Environment and Water. He has been a professor at Athens University of Economics since 1997. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Aachen, Germany with a M.Sc. in Management Science from Imperial College in London and a PhD in Operations Research from the National Technical University of Athens. He has organized 12 international conferences, has published over 100 research studies in journals and books and has coordinated numerous national and international research projects. Grigorios L. Kyriakopoulos is a teaching and research associate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He holds two PhDs, in Low Carbon Economy from DUTH, Greece and in Chemical Engineering from NTUA, Greece. He has authored and co-authored over 140 papers, 35 book chapters, and 30 conference papers. He is the reviewer of more than 7000 manuscripts at more than 520 journals. He is also an associate researcher at the UNESCO program on Green Innovation and Circular Economy at the National Technical University of Athens. His research interests are environmental systems and remediation, renewable energy sources, and circular economy, among others. Eleni Strantzali is an assistant professor at the Department of Naval Architecture at University of West Attica, Greece, with a specialization in techno-economic analysis and supply chain in maritime transport. She graduated in Mechanical Engineering from NTUA, Greece and has a PhD in Industrial Management & Operational Research from the same university. She is an associate researcher at the UNESCO program on Green Innovation and Circular Economy at the National Technical University of Athens.
