OverviewCinnamon is a young reindeer who has waited her whole life to compete in the Reindeer Games in Claus Valley with her best friends Sugar, Sprinkles, Quill, Patches, and Teddy. But when an accident during training causes one of her antlers to break, Cinnamon feels different, embarrassed, and sure she no longer belongs. Overwhelmed by shame, she runs deep into the dark forest and becomes lost, while her worried friends and family search for her back home. In the forest, Cinnamon meets Prince, an older white reindeer who was teased when he was young but has learned to embrace what makes him unique. As Prince helps Cinnamon find her way home, she discovers that true strength comes from kindness, courage, and accepting herself just as she is. With the support of Santa, Mrs. Claus, her family, and friends, Cinnamon learns that being different is not something to hide-it is something to celebrate, and the Spirit of Christmas shines brightest when everyone is welcomed just as they are. He is married to his wife Sharon for over 40 years and raised two sons, Jacob and Alex and appreciates the unconditional support of his extended family. In 2019, Russ began portraying Santa and spreading the Spirit of Christmas to children. Through his educational experiences and Santa portrayals, he meets children with many different abilities with some facing hardships that make them different from other children. Yet all children have a curiosity and a natural spirit of giving. Santa Russ was inspired to write and tell a Christmas themed story that speaks and uplifts all children by telling them, it is okay to be different. Illustrator Laurie Nave helped Santa Russ bring Cinnamon to life for all to enjoy. When not writing stories or portraying Santa, Russ enjoys spending time with his family and dogs Bailey and Rey. Most days will find us watching Hallmark or Great American Family movies featuring holiday themes and that enrich our spirits. When time permits, Russ loves to build LEGO models.
