Cinnabar One: A hybrid leaves Earth

Overview

On Aldanrey, calevenians live their simple lives inharmony with nature and each other. When changesto the moons' orbits signal a catastrophic end to all lifeon the planet, a few brave calevenians refuse to giveup. Led by two young pioneers, they make a desperateattempt to prevent the disaster. On Mars, in the near future, a private mining operationstumbles upon the wreckage of an ancient, alienspaceship. Following investigations, scientists initiate asecret experiment on Earth. In a laboratory beneath theabandoned CERN research centre, an organic incubatorgestates a girl with 45% extraterrestrial DNA.Below the ruins of an old monastery in India, archaeologists find a collection of goatskin scrolls, revealing a plea for help from an unknown civilisationin need. Soon begins a rescue operation unlike anythingour galaxy has ever seen. But while Earth's delegationpushes the laws of physics to their limits, time is running out for Aldanrey. The novel is undeniably impressive. Through several parallel plots, it tells a credible story that includes a wide range of characters - both human and alien. The language flows effortlessly and effectively, with short, descriptive sentences. The book conveys cosmic visions, an extension in time and space that is unmistakably similar to those found in classic science fiction; what many call a ""sense of wonder"". The plot spans a period of almost 725,000 years. It takes place partly on the planet Aldanrey in the Barnard's Star system, almost 6 light years from our sun, and partly in various places on Earth and Mars, in the past and near future. The author switches smoothly between different time periods and locations. The sequel is in production
