Author Information

Timothy Shary is the author of numerous books on youth and film, including Boyhood: A Young Life (Routledge, 2017), and Generation Multiplex: The Image of Youth in Contemporary American Cinema (University of Texas Press, 2002; revised 2014). He is co-author of Fade to Gray: Aging in American Cinema (University of Texas Press, 2016), and his publications have appeared in The Journal of Film and Video, Film Quarterly, The Journal of Popular Culture, The Journal of Popular Film and Television, and Boyhood Studies.
