After missing out on a role in EastEnders, Cindy Lass was feeling down. “Forget it,” comforted her mother. “Paint me a vase of flowers for this wall here instead.” Stocked up with new art supplies, the rhythmic strokes of her paintbrush soon transported Cindy to a tranquil oasis of colour.    When taking it to be framed, the gallery owner asked, “Who has done this?” Bemused and embarrassed, Cindy answered and three more picture frames were thrust towards her, “You have a huge talent, come back when you’ve painted these”. Gina Clarke started her career in BBC local radio and has been telling the story of individuals and communities ever since. Currently the Editor-in-Chief of The Fintech Times and an associate lecturer in Journalism and PR, she has a background as freelance journalist for more than 15-years. Gina has worked for publications such as the Daily Mail, the Sun and the Telegraph. Gina met Cindy at a celebrity mixer one night and was simply fascinated  – she knew that she had to tell her story.
