Overview

Chrysalis is about the relationship between the changes in the natural world and those of the author's inner world. The poet explores three major themes: the difficulties she faced with letting go of her past, her relationship to loneliness and solitude, and her observances in Nature that help her accept the necessity & inevitability of change as it relates to personal growth. These poems span various geographic locations and reflect the dual nature of life rather than only being focused on one side of the emotional spectrum. Luna Moore Latorre is a writer of fiction and poetry living in Southern California. Chrysalis is her first published book. Her second book, a novel, is soon to be published in July 2025. Luna's other work can be found in Literally Stories and Eunoia Review, among others. When she is not writing, she loves reading, dancing, hiking, and being with her cat, Da Vinci.
