Author Information

Stephen T. Holgate, MD, DSc, FRCP, is Medical Research Council Professor of Immunopharmacology and Honorary Consultant Physician at Southampton University Hospital Trust. He is the Chairman of Science Council's Science in Health Group, as well as a member of Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution. His research works have focused on cellular and mediator mechanisms of allergy and asthma, with specific emphasis on applications to diagnosis and treatment. S. T. Holgate is the Co-editor of Clinical and Experimental Allergy, in addition to being on the editorial board of over 25 journals. He has published over 800 peer-reviewed papers besides editing more than 50 books on asthma.
