Author Information

Monique is a Jamaican-born illustrator residing in the small pocket of reality between time and space (also known as Miami). After receiving her BFA in illustration from Ringling College she made a professional start as an Illustration resident at Buzzfeed. She continues to draw, focusing on historical costuming, magic, and women in power. When not drawing, she’s deeply mired in pop culture, refining her spicy foods palette and lamenting no longer living the “island girl” lifestyle.
