"Max Weaver grew up the youngest of four children. His three siblings were significantly older and busy with their teenage lives when Max started elementary school. Max's brother nicknamed him ""Grubbs"" because he ""reminded him of a Grubb worm."" Many of the stories in Grubbs are based on actual events. M.J. Offen is an original creator, writer, and producer, and serves as showrunner of the upcoming Grubbs animated adaptation. She has developed animated shows for Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, Disney Junior, and Cartoon Network. She lives in Los Angeles, California. Her first book was Star & Stripe: Grand Opening!"
