She grew up in Rome, GA and graduated from Armuchee High School in 1980. She started her career as a registered nurse in 1990 and has been working as a nurse practitioner since 2017. Cindy and her husband Chris will be married forty years in June 2025. They have three daughters, and seven grandchildren. She enjoys the outdoors, going to the beach, doing arts and crafts, dancing, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. She resides in Southeast Georgia. LaRue Adams Davis was born in Social Circle, GA on June 13, 1917. She graduated from Decatur Girl's High School in 1935 and over time received teaching degrees from Georgia State College for Women and Valdosta State College. LaRue taught first grade throughout her career in numerous schools beginning in Coosa, GA, and ending at Midway Elementary School in Decatur, GA. Mrs. Davis loved to teach children how to read and was an expert in grammar. She loved to write poetry. She was a selfless Christian mother with a unique personality and a robust sense of humor and was admired by many. She passed away on October 28, 2010, at age ninety-three.
