Overview

The subject of Christian fasting seems to have become very confused in the modern church. If you are like many believers, you probably aren't satisfied with the explanations you have been given. In this book, author John Martel, shows how fasting was never intended to be a weapon we could use against God. Fasting can never be used to manipulate God, neither to earn reward or rescue. The actual purpose is to change us, and alter our course forever. This book is written in a concise and straight forward manner. The modern Christian's active lifestyle has been kept in mind. You will quickly be able to learn everything you need to know about Christian fasting without having to wade through pages of non-essential information. Rather than just learning about practices and methods of fasting, readers will also be taught the more important purposes of fasting in their relation to serving God in an active walk with Christ. Have you been considering fasting? What is fasting? What is it for? How are we supposed to go about it? Why does it even matter? When should you start? When should you stop? How many different types of fasts are there? Why did Jesus fast? Why should we fast? This easy to read book answers all these questions and more. It provides a quick and practical understanding of the practice without being overly academic or scholarly. You get the practical information you need to know and the necessary bible knowledge you need to understand. Written in a short, concise, and straight forward manner. This book will equip you to fast effectively and powerfully with a full understanding of this Christian principal.
