Overview

Chris idolizes superheroes and their adventures. His favorite hero, the Crimson Crusader, displays the superpowers of strength, courage and determination. When Chris is diagnosed with leukemia, he decides to use the Crusader's superpowers to help him during his treatment. Through use of his imagination, Chris emerges as a new superhero, the Cancer Crusher. He applies his strength to stay positive during doctor visits and tests, his courage to withstand the side effects of chemotherapy, and his determination to finish his treatment successfully. 25% of the profits from Chris Crushes Cancer will be donated to children's cancer organizations.

Michele Wulff, author of ""Chris Crushes Cancer"", had a 30-year career as an elementary teacher. She is a cancer survivor and thriver. For 25 years, Michele has volunteered as a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She enjoys tutoring and currently resides in San Diego. Penny Weber is a full-time artist and illustrator based in Long Island, New York.As a child she taught herself to use colored pencils and watercolors. Recently she has taught herself how to use photoshop. Penny attended classes at the School of Visual Arts in New York after which she has pursued her career as an illustrator. Penny's work over the years includes residential murals, greeting cards, portraits, caricatures and pet portraits. She creates digital illustrations that have a unique hand-drawn look. Penny has illustrated many successful children's picture books. She illustrated ""Will You Fill My Bucket? Daily Acts of Love Around the World,"" written by Carol McCloud and Karen Wells. Penny also illustrated ""I Am Unique!"" written by Jennifer Vassel.""Penny lives with her husband, three children and their very fat cat, Tiger.Long Island, NY
