OverviewBorn in 1810, the Polish composer Chopin was a prodigy and began music lessons with his Czech tutor at the age of six. After studying at the Warsaw Lyceum, Chopin went on to compose and play right through to his death in 1849 when he ordered all of his unpublished and incomplete works to be destroyed. First appearing in 1903, this is an account of Chopin as a man and Chopin as a composer. The author describes Chopin's life and activities from his early days in Warsaw to the days he spent in London, Paris, Vienna, and elsewhere. He also gives accounts of the enthusiasm with which Chopin's works were received, early reviews, Chopin's own reactions to the places he visited and the people he saw, and much more. Also included are numerous letters, and a list of Chopin's published works (at the time of writing). Full Product DetailsAuthor: J.
