Overview

Objective: To identify the endodontic cements chosen by Tunisian dentists for LIPOE. Method: An epidemiological survey was carried out among free-lance dentists, distributed door-to-door and via social networks, including 19 questions on the general profile of the practitioners surveyed, endodontic treatment and the management of LIPOE, in particular the choice of root canal sealing cement. Results: The most commonly used cements were zinc oxide and eugenol (65%), followed by bioceramic (29%), calcium hydroxide (21%), resin (13%) and glass ionomer (2%). Conclusion: LIPOE regression can be achieved with different cements, provided endodontic treatment is well performed. However, the choice of luting cement may also play a role in promoting and accelerating healing of these lesions.
