Overview

Choice Knowledge for Students enhances the confidence, maturity, and motivation that drives success. No matter where a student stands with grades or abilities, their future depends on excellent education and not only in academic subjects. Their hearts and souls need tending as much as their minds. This book addresses all three! The first section, “Knowledge for Your Power,” nurtures inner strength. Entries like “Rescue Yourself” encourage maturity, ones like “Speak Up” enhance confidence, and those similar to “Keep It Real” nurture honesty and persistence. The second section is “Knowledge for Your Balance.” Entries like “Your Best Friend,” “Let Go,” and “Talk It Out” build a stable foundation for school, work, family, friends, and all the other activities students juggle. The third section, “Knowledge for Your Life,” offers inspiring and fun ways to supercharge school and life. Items like “Give Your Best” encourage achievement, ones like “Move Your Body” emphasize physical health, and the future is addressed with topics like “Test the Trend.” Choice Knowledge helps students take charge of academic success as well as their lives!

Reviews

Our youth are bombarded with more choices and challenges than ever before. How they face their difficulties hinges on their preparedness. Choice Knowledge for Students provides the tools to help instill confidence and assuredness to tackle whatever they face. Choice Knowledge is a keepsake of thought provoking information whether the reader is 8 or 18, a parent or an educator. -- Joniese White, Youth Adviser, Parent Choice Knowledge for Students is a must read because we are all students and life-long learners. Building ones inner strength is a powerful tool because one will always have oneself around when other sources of strength are not there. This is a brilliant piece of work that can foster better relationship with self and others. Dr. Culp was able to use simple, creative and compelling language that captivates the reader to finish the book fast and seek more of author's work. This book can be read to or by contemporary students and everyone who understands that life is a learning stage where we all play the role of students. The author has been there, done that and actualizes every aspect of the book. -- Joniese White, Youth Adviser, Parent Today students face an unbelievable amount of pressure to perform, succeed, and keep up with cultural norms. Parents and families that for generations have offered the sound advice for schooling, careers, and life are now often fractured, over-committed, or not engaged. This book, Choice Knowledge for Students, is a joy to read, and offers insightful words of encouragement for students that applies to all grade levels and ages. It is easy to absorb one section at a time, and has great insight for parents and students alike. -- Lisa-Marie Haygood, President, Georgia PTA This book, Choice Knowledge for Students, is potent with wonderful self-help tips that will empower students to become all that they can be in life. Kudos to Dr. Culp for having the insight to write such an incredible book! -- Norma Finch Jenkins, Ph.D., NCSP, Nationally Certified School Psychologist After reading the Choice Knowledge series I quickly realized how timeless this series of books really can be. For the parent of a young child during the pre-school to elementary years it provides a guide to help young students navigate through the early years of education. Additionally, the gems left by Dr. Culp can aid your child through the transitions they face while in middle school. And these ageless nuggets of knowledge can also serve as a reminder to help the seemingly insurmountable teen years when your watchful eyes are further from your loved ones. Overall these are a breath of fresh air that is welcomed by all. -- Bryan Neely, Morehouse College Graduate The book is great! I liked how the book is inspirational. Some of the pages have funny titles and teach funny things. A lot of kids would like this book. It is so awesome! This book is a guaranteed bestseller. No book can match up to this one. -- Alfred Ponder, Age 8, 4th Grade
