Overview

When the cryonic chambers aboard an escape pod hiss open, the survivors of Alpha Team must decide if the planet they approach is Earth, or if something went terribly wrong with the automated guidance systems while they slept. The landmasses are utterly unfamiliar, leaving little doubt it is an alien world. As they debate their options, orbital debris strikes the escape pod, and they tumble into the atmosphere. Heroic efforts are made to control the descent, but the crash is devastating. The team struggles - to survive once again, to come to terms with the violence of the past, and to understand the complex social structures of a place which, to all appearances, is idyllic.
