""Child of Silence - A Blessing in Disguise"" is based on a child Brooklyn born of deaf parents, not raised at home since seven years old. After being bounced around three children's homes and shelters for a year, with the third one being the charm, he received excellent mentorship, with a business college scholarship grant propelling him toward a successful career in court reporting and a segue to fine art photography. His parents' handicap became his asset, as his profession took him from NYC to Miami to Burnsville. The author's message is for his story to serve as an inspiration and an example for others similarly situated in overcoming challenging obstacles.
