OverviewTwo brothers, Geoff and George Palmer, fly passenger jets from London to Thailand and back. In their spare time they both enjoy a drink, but George often doesn't know when to stop. When they retire together to Portugal, their days of leisure become occupied by long lunches, copious amounts of alcohol and the inherent perils which come with such a lifestyle. From the lady boys, prostitutes and opium dens of Bangkok to gypsies, bikers, hunters, a German hippy goddess, a local policeman with a grudge and a gigantic dog called Hercules in Portugal. This fast moving comic adventure is both funny and sad by turns, as George's life bounces from inebriated euphoria to nightmarish remorse and his battle with the demon drink threatens to destroy both his health and his sanity.
