After a brief tryout as a pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball Club, he turned to the legal profession and served as a Federal Court Reporter. After publishing several novels, Mr. Clearfield decided to document the many ghostly occurrences that he'd studied while living in the Chicago area and Chicagoland Ghosts is his first non-fiction work on the paranormal.
