Overview

Chess Praxis was Nimzowitsch's follow-up to his classic 'My System' which introduced Nimzowitsch's 'hypermodern' theories about how chess should be played. This book shows how these ideas work in practice. Nimzowitsch uses his own most entertaining games to explain how a grandmaster thinks about chess.

A new translation of Die Praxis Meines System is to be welcomed... A postscript by Jacob Aagaard and John Shaw enhances this definitive version. Bernard Cafferty, British Chess Magazine

Author Information

Aron Nimzowitsch (1886-1935) was one of the greatest chess players of his day, ranked just behind the fa-mous World Champions Alekhine and Capablanca. However, his reputation as an author is higher still, and he influenced modern chess thinking more than any other author.
