Melissa Langenhorst has spent most of her adult life working with preschool children. After years in the child care industry (and the battle scars that come with it), she knew that it was time to move on to something different, something out of her comfort zone, something ORIGINAL. After years of watching and working with an uncle, who is a carpenter, she was always amazed at the power of creating something from scratch. Itching for a change, she started her own company (Clever Girl Originals). Whether working with wood, painting, photography and now children's book author and illustrator, you can catch Melissa selling her many creations at Craft Fairs across her home state. Melissa currently resides in southern Missouri with her husband, daughter, cat Eli and inspiration for her first children's book, Lucy Goosey.
