As a leader and a visionary of a charter school, I am often reminded by the pieces of the puzzle that one has and their relevance to shaping our lives. Remember, although completing the puzzle is one outcome, the ways in which you manipulate and strategize and view the different angles to create your ultimate picture in life is the ultimate process in which you learn, gather strength and become whole, the most amazing process you can undergo and evolve to become great.

Dr. Maury Wills is currently the CEO of DeKalb Academy of Technology and Environmental Elementary and Middle Charter Schools, Inc. in suburban Atlanta. His skills as an educator and educational administrator have developed throughout a successful career in various fields of education - as a teacher in multiple grades and special education, principal, and special assistant to the superintendent. Dr. Wills was honored as a William Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar Recipient having the opportunity to study abroad in Japan, and he has been invited as a guest lecturer to speak in England on behalf of the charter school movement in America. His learning philosophy is based on the three R's: Relationships, Relevance, and Rigor!
