Overview

Charon's Crossing Nursing Home holds the key to a decades-old mystery that Clarissa Alden (Bradley Alden's grown daughter) and Maggie Brennan (Clarissa's best friend since childhood) must solve. With the help of their counterpart, Serg Nicolescu, they sneak into the nursing home in order to interview a former resident and a former mob boss, Joey Figaroni, about the disappearance and suspected death of an undercover informant, Mabel Downey. Joey gives them a clue and points them in the direction of his old partner, Tony Marceoni. He's no longer worried about Tony, as Joey has been dead for years. But before they can leave the nursing home with their information, another ghost stumbles upon them. Iris Dukas, another former resident of the home, is searching for her husband, Theo. She hasn't seen him since the day she died, and she fears that something bad has happened to him. She's right. Theo has been convicted of Iris's murder. Unfortunately, their investigation has brought them under the scrutiny of the vigilante organization that murdered Bruce Blackwood all of those years ago. Can the members of Chicago Crypt, with the help of the Blackwoods File team, not only solve these murders but also escape attempts on their own lives?
