"The theme of the 2008 Charleston Conference was ""The Best of Times ...The Worst of Times."" Presenters covered such subjects as content development, budgeting, management, technology, the use of blogs, collaboration, the impact of space and funding on collections, verification and online access, and out-of-the-box thinking. The unique nature of the Charleston Conference gave librarians, publishers, and library vendors the opportunity to holistically examine these and other points of interest.
