Overview

GCU is a popular university space station that pays its bills via sponsorship of scholastic motorsports events, namely its fast and fun, but very dangerous Hover Drift races. The GCU Star Children are on their way to becoming champions. President Collins is one semester away from getting GCU out of debt with the G.U.I.L.D.s, when the school's Varsity race team captain is killed in an on-campus bombing said to be perpetrated by the phantom racer known as Vindictor. Desperate to save his beloved school from becoming another recruiting station for warlord Para-Drake, Collins hastily promotes Professor Morris Beginaut from the Space Aviation Science Division to take the former coach's place. Beginaut is aware that people within the President's own administration who want to see the college founder. Against the Five Faction Accord's Academic Code, Beginaut recruits Angelique Jackson, a gifted tele-mechcloutic mine worker from the infamous space pirate refuge Delta Mapris.
