Professor Tamilla Palmer Perera became an English expert at Nanchang University in Jiangxi, China in 2001. She has taught English language learners for over 25 years from ages 1-70 from the U.S., China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, France, Russia and numerous other places including Aspect International, Kaplan, GEOS, ELS, Language Systems, Whittier College, Citrus College, Sylvan Learning and school districts throughout Southern California. She lives in Los Angeles, California, is married to Asela Perera, graduated from University of Southern California (USC), and holds a master's equivalency in TESOL. She is affectionately known as ""Mrs. Pea"" on the public school campuses, Tamilla in private schools and Professor Palmer Perera among distinguished schools where she has led courses for as many as 350 university students per semester..
