She has also organized dozens of international and national conferences, specials sessions, and journal special issues. She was Chair of the 5th International Conference on Quality Innovation and Sustainability (ICQIS 2024). João M. F. Calado is Professor with Habilitation, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department in Engineering School of Lisbon Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnic University of Lisbon, Portugal. He has authored more than 150 scientific papers. José Carlos de Sá is Professor at Engineering School of Porto of the Polytechnic University of Porto, Portugal. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has worked as a consultant, manager, and academic in quality and productivity improvement. He serves on the editorial board of several journals and has published over 120 scientific papers. António Abreu is Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Engineering School of Lisbon of Polytechnic University of Lisbon, Portugal. Before transitioning to the academic world, Dr. Abreu had a successful career in the manufacturing industry, holding management positions.
