Overview

This user-friendly introduction to the seven major chakras--those spinning vortexes of energy throughout the body--presents ways of healing the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual problems that arise when the chakras are blocked, misaligned, or too open. It also describes how the chakras affect people and provides simple healing techniques, an explanation of the relationship between color and mood, tips for using gemstones to cleanse and energize, and advice for practicing aromatherapy and other complementary systems to channel energy within the body. A brief history of the chakras, a discussion of the relationship between the chakras and astrology, and an exploration of the chakras and kundalini are also included.

Author Information

Sasha Fenton has been a professional astrologer, palmist, and tarot-card reader since 1974. She has previously served as president of the British Astrological and Psychic Society (BAPS), chair for the Advisory Panel on Astrological Education, and member of the Executive Council of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain. She has written more than one hundred books, mainly on mind, body, and spirit, with some titles translated into twelve languages. Gina Rogers was asked to narrate her first audiobook in 2014 after an author overheard her imitating her mother's New York accent at a dinner party. While she swears her background in musical theater and television acting has in no way prepared her to speak in accents and dialects, her ability to breathe life into characters has taken her a long way in her career as an audiobook narrator.
