RENZO PIANO was born on 14th September 1937 in Genoa. He is an architect and engineer and has designed many notable buildings including several museums as well the Shard in London and the Whitney Museum of Contemporary American Art in New York. RICHARD ROGERS, BARON ROGERS OF RIVERSIDE was also born in Italy, in Florence in 1933 of Anglo-Italian parents. As an architect he is noted for his modernist and functionalist designs in high-tech architecture. Other important well-known works are the Millenium Dome, the Senedd in Cardiff and the Lloyd`s Building in London
