Thomas Dyrek, a resident of Central Illinois, is a railroad and history buff who has spent years researching and documenting the area's railroad history. Historic photographs from his collection as well as several other local railroad fans and historians were selected for this book to tell the story of the area's railroad depots and their interesting history. Jack Keefe is a noted Central Illinois historian who has written many articles on the area's railroad history and photographed many local railroad depots in the 1960s and 1970s.
